Maggie thatcher destroyed most of the industries in scotland, mining, steel works and ship building and sent the work abroad.I remember the day my father came home unemployed because maggie liked shafting the scots.

We got lumbered with the poll tax a year before anyone else in the Uk...why?

She liked shafting Scotland as we continually voted Labour and stuck by our unions.

Im glad that old c### is dead.

I wish old Maggie had been born 30 years later and was in charge at the moment. I think her approach to the current issues would of been a little different

Before my time so don't remember her in power but a friend of the wife refuses to vote Tory because she remembers the thatcher years. Can't get my head around that, was 30 years ago and she's not looked at the issues at all just voting labour because they aren't Tory??

Again, why was there debt taken on under EVERY Tory administration with the exception of the TWO YEARS that Major was Chancellor? At least with Labour money was being invested for the public good - hospitals, schools, etc... not squandered on providing largesse for already rich Tory donors by flogging off state assets to them at knockdown prices. I'm no fan of Blair, but the NHS improved markedly under Labour after years of Tory cuts - sound familiar?

Have you heard of PFI's Steve?

With one day to go, here's where I am with this.

They are all a sickening disgrace to the men, and women, who fought and died to give us the right to make a choice.

I'm a Northumbrian, and a Liberal at heart, but they are too weak to be a viable option.

Corbyn has some very intelligent points and ideas, but the sums don't work for me, his stance on terrorism is appalling, and the thought of Diane Abbott as Home Secretary has me looking at house prices in Syria.

That leaves May, a truly awful person and politician. I'd trust her as far as I could spit with Abbott sat on my face.

Head butt or kick in the nuts?

What a great country we live in.

I'm pretty selfish, so my vote will be based on my years on Arbtalk.

The 'seeking climber' threads now are surely better than the 'climber seeking work' threads that proliferated under the last 'Party of the Working People' clusterfuck.

It's a tough choice though.

I'm in discussions with Mark J and Matelot to form a party that would appeal to the majority.

We'll be up and running next time round.

Silky Fox will be Chancellor. There's a bloke who can turn a penny into a quid the hard way.

Whichever way you vote, you miserable shower of bastards will always be my tree brothers, and we've already won the lottery of life by being in this country in the first place.

Cheers fellas.
