Seriously look at the 2006 terrorist act,

"reading literature on how to make bombs to kill people and joining groups whose professed aim is to kill us all should also be a crime worthy of incarceration or deportation"

Seems to be pretty well covered in there, underutilized as I've said before.

I've underlined the problem that exists.

I've read Parliamentary Acts before... they don't sound like that....

That sounds like something you've written yourself..

I agree with your sentiment but speeding is a crime if you speed. Looking at chilld abuse images is a crime. Affiliation to certain groups are crimes. Agreed, the law needs to be changed. Incarceration because they might commit a crime is no basis to lock them up. I'd quite happily have buried my ex in my back yard but I didn't (I didn't have a yard at the time). Thoughts and deeds are two very distinct things.

One of the problems that the criminal justice system has is that a lot of evidence about extremists comes from insider sources. If a "mole" is exposed during a trial he's obviously no longer able to provide information regarding extremists plans.

The Israeli justice system overcomes this problem by not bothering with a jury. A military officer is the judge and jury for any terrorist. Sooner or later we will go down this road...

The Russians are rumoured to have an interesting approach to justice as well. Seemingly the Russians like kidnapping the sons of terrorists, killing them, cutting their testicles off, placing them in the mouth of the son's body and returning the body to the father.

Do you do it on purpose or are you really that dimwitted? It was quite obvious that is was a quote from Mr Bolam, he himself managed to navigate the mental labyrinth.
