Just terrible. Finding it quite upsetting, the idea of people just going about their normal lives with the ever present threat of being brutally murdered simply because they live in a country that has people that believe in all sorts of different flying spaghetti monsters.

Until religion is eradicated, I don't think humans can ever claim to be truly civilised. It will always cause division and hatred and the sooner it succumbs to it's own idiocy the better.

I lived and worked among Turkish Muslims for a number of years and the simple truth is that as a faith they are taught from an early age that its the Muslim way or no way, the rest of us are just infidels.

They are believers from childhood and questioning the faith is just going to alienate them and drive them further into the hands of extremists.

Exactly, you start criticising their faith and you will only breed more fanatics.

It's a shame we live in a world where these things happen, condolences to everyone in.

Unfortunately there is no easy fix for these events and saying banning religion is not going to help we shouldn't try and force our own beliefs whether we are Muslim, Atheist, Christian or anything on others but try and work together to sort things out.

Just to set the record straight.

Muslim martyr..... Someone who kills other people (along with himself ) for his faith.

Christian martyr.... Someone who gets killed by other people because of his faith.

I know someone that was there at the attacks. She said there was shooting at one of the side roads as well. People were running away from the shooting to where the truck attack was happening.

Great.

Nonsense.

Hindu caste system, Jewish oppression of Palestinians in Israel, and countless conflicts through time and now resultant from Christian extremism. Take northern Ireland - a conflict based on two groups of people ascribing to two marginally different versions of the same fairytale.
