I love the fact that about 55 cases of A&E cases a year were attributable to being struck by trees, whereas 2200 per year relating to Wheelie bins (taken from Common Sense Risk Management of Trees). You don't see many wheelie bins needlessly destroyed as someone has over-evaluated the risk they pose and yet this happens with trees all the time.

 

Yes but part of the reason for the low risk is the effective risk management system we have in place. If you stopped felling dangerous trees then the risk would obviously increase. I know what you mean though, the risk is often over stated.

 

Oh yeah, and everyone is a tree expert!!!

Do not want to seem pedantic but

 

The clip shows a falling tree hitting a bin with wheels; not a wheely bin

 

I thought that is what you called a bin with wheels .......My mistake . Sorry .:001_smile:
