Took delivery of this mid March, ordered in October. Always had a cabless tractor, but wanted a bit of luxury. No longer get wet, cold, sunburnt or will suffer from hay fever again when grass cutting!

Now got to pay for it, with not much work whilst the lockdown is in place ☹

This is the st401 had the stv32 before, which was 32hp, this one is 40. It got a fast road speed compared to a lot of tractors this size. Its hydro also. Its th biggest in this range they do.

I carefully hand "levelled" enough to put the right sidethrow below the rear wheels, less than 2.0m,then levelled the rest of the 31 tonne with the EX50, using the bucket tipped vertical in 1st gear and mark 1 eyeball referenced off the batter on the kerbs, finished by "tickling" with the empty linkbox, it actually looks better to the discerning human eye than my wee camera can properly capture. Left near-enough 100mm low for asphalting.

The 2 "D's" in front of the bay windows will be finished with pink granite.

Lovely job!

I quite like the gears on the old tractor, but hydro isn't half bad either.

I really really, REALLY wanted a hydrostatic drive tractor(and a 4066 J Deere would have been rather nice) having specced and purchased a hydrostatic JD with a loader for work( a 3 series with about 45HP) which was a phenonomal wee tool, but hey-ho, it was not to be, and I get on fine with the geared EX50.
