Any news on the akimbo?

Not keen on using friction cord with the rope wrench seems like a step backwards for me.

Would be great to have a CE marked device.

funny was just thinking the same thing earlier

release date would be good

Why a step backwards? I agree it would be great to have a ce mark on a hardware device for srt. not sure on the difference between ce and ansi. not a lot I suspect..

We've spoken to Rock Exotica on this. As rightly stated a deal has been done with them, in the short term they are helping out making a few parts to satisfy outstanding orders.

After that they reckon it is about 80% done but has a ways to go before they would sign it off in their testing department. In their own words "we are going to do everything we can to make sure that we get it CE marked before it is officially released"

Sounds promising so we'll be keeping everything crossed!!

RE are currently moving their production facilities so Jamie is having the gofundme Akimbo parts machined locally which he will assemble himself and then ship out to the original donors.

I'm surprised that Petzl haven't seen an opportunity for an SRT variant of the Zigzag. Having said that they've had a struggle getting it up to spec for ddrt.
