hello folks

I take this opportunity to pass on my view on success.

To achieve your goals and become the best you can be, there is only one way in my opinion. Good positive thoughts, and visualise your self as success.

It changed my life, and it could change yours.

Whilst many lack self confidence and are reluctant to challenge themselves and it does make a big difference, you do need other things to go your way, such as a good supportive spouse not a money drainer lazy high maintainence type. And reasonable health to Name two.

I've been self employed 15 years and still not making anymore than if I was employed.

I am not money motivated. I just enjoy working and been occupied. Always rip myself off not the client.

But I'm content.

The brain is the most important part of the body, but it's not much use if your body doesn't work very well.

Unless you're Stephen Hawking.

Education is important, but big biceps is importanter.

Would like to hear from those who have been in this industry for years. How they dealt with the stress, with the fear of failure and the debt....

Been self employed for 9 years now, and yes its a constant worry. My general mood varies in accordance with my bank balance. But over time i've learned to deal with it. Someone once said to me 'money can always be earn't', and that stuck with me.

It's true that my dad always said to me "you can always make some more money" when I was skint because something broke!!

Only worry about things you can influence - then confront the problem with action.

I sometimes think about how I struggle as I get older. I can't stop ageing so I try to arrange things differently and use the younger guys to do the harder physical stuff.

I try not to worry about the jobs I didn't win, and concentrate on doing a great job on the ones I did.

I have never been concerned about others having bigger houses, flashy cars etc. I ask myself 'am I happy with what I've got and where I'm likely to get to'?

Treat yourself well in life - you only get one.

Treat others well in life - they only get one.
