Where does it all finish it just gets harder and harder to stay legal these days. No wonder there's so many people running around illegal maybe there better off taking the risk and paying the fine. That way would maybe cheaper than running to the book and that's if you get caught the longer they get away with it the more money they save.

 

I agree j there are so many people running round over loaded but with the current red tape there's no wonder so many people chance it. I guess guys like Peter and Bob who are used to the system can see things a bit clearer than us newbies.

I got mine nearly two years ago now, it really is simple. I read these breads and only paid attention to the comments of members such as Peter, Bob and now myself and learned it was really easy,maid a guy to sort the o license and bought and built the lorry, there's nothing to it. Drop me a PM if you'd like to discuss it. I'm having to re apply for a new o license now as I've just gone limited, but I may do it myself this time as I have the application from last time to copy

Its not about chancing it to avoid getting caught by "red tape" though is it? It's about being safe.

It would be heart wrenching if a loved one got hit by a serverly overloaded transit, be it tree surgeon, builder etc who perhaps could have stopped in time had they had a legal load on

I agree Josh, it's not about changing to avoid it, it's about NOT changing to avoid it! The minute you try do the right thing you seem to get bombard with the stuff!
