Trailer is now returned, no doubt immensely helped by social media, odd circumstances, I thank you if you had any part in its return and/or placed missing ads on my behalf:thumbup1:

yes good to have it back and I also would be interested in 'the story' as above I strongly believe the presence of trailer on here and other forums together with its unique build helped, as an aside I did not think the whole scenario through with an add on a sale web site and someone bid 99 pence for it and asked where it was so they could collect it! worth a try though, hopefully there will not be a next time but need to manage that situation better.

again I thank you if you had any part in its return and/or placed missing ads on my behalf, cheers arbtalkers

my apologies I could have been more informative I had a phone call from the person who owns the paddock where the trailer is usually kept saying that he had received a phone call earlier that morning saying the trailer had been returned! it looked from tracks in front of the trailer that it had been driven there by a cleated tyre machine, tractor? every thing else is guess work, I informed the police immediately after the call but they have not been in touch.

OK this is all getting a little to mysterious...

I have two possibilities circulating in my mind at present...

One is an insurance job, and someone got cold feet, thus the trailers return...

Second, its someone Arbwork knows who nicked it/had it nicked and because of all the kerfuffle has also got cold feet.. more than likely been stored in some nearby barn as well....

If it was some stranger who nicked it they'd off dropped it off in the middle of some road and not took the trouble of bringing it back to the owner....

Then again, theres always the chance someone borrowed it thinking arbwork wouldn't find out, got found out(arbwork thought it was stolen), they waited for it to quieten down to return said trailer....

In a word, I don't think it was ever nicked...

IMHO this is one of the advantages of bespoke and unusual kit, if this had been an mass-produced trailer it would have never been seen again.

As its so identifiable, plus the market for such a trailer is so limited along with the fact that the owner did such a good job of spreading the news of its theft, probably made it very, very difficult to sell on.

So thieves take stolen property back these days LOL.....

If your asking me, someone took it with the intention of getting it back before Arbwork noticed it had gone missing...

A local with a tractor...

I'd like to know if any evidence might be found inside the trailer as to what use it was put to... moving bales of hay, haylage?..
