It's a similar leaf to acacia koa's adult leaf, not saying it's that but certainly similar with the parallel veins. Is it in the uk?

It's not feckin lime!😀 the timber and leaf are definately from the same tree.

 

After lookin at Australian Blackwood it looks likely, or another acacia, he sent me a photo but not much better than mine I'm afraid and yes it was in UK (sunny Lowestoft)
