that looks awesome, unfortunately I need a double cab..

Steve, did you look at other motors before going for th nissan? what's you reasons for choosing that over others?

I have had 2 navaras over the past 7 years and they have been faultless. In addition to that my nissa dealer is spot on and a pleasure to deal with.

Oh, and I fancy the girl on the service desk

Depends on your budget Brett. Ford Ranger or VW Amarok usually come out tops in comparisons in the press. Search D-Max on here as a few have had problems with new ones. My 07 Ranger has been great. Do you need a double cab?? Don't rule out a super cab if you dont need to carry rear seat passengers.

Time to punt the old disco I think. I've had a quote for a new l200. Just looking for peoples opinion on what are the best pickups on the market at the moment?

Let battle commence. ..........

Hi

Ford ranger 3.2

Pulls like a train heaps of low end torque I can do all my reversing and manoeuvring in tight spots with a tt126 on back on tickover, not bad on fuel at all considering what it is. They've been out a few years so most niggles have been sorted. New facelift version should knock the values down a bit on the current model too. After 6 years with a 3.0 patrol in which I did 157000 miles without a glitch mainly pulling a tri axle ifor I traded it for a 59 plate Navara with 43k showing, Great truck on road comfortable fast etc loads of toys inside as standard but show it a loaded trailer and things changed dramatically no bottom end torque at all. In a 9 month period I replaced the steering linkage, EGR valve and the final straw was the back axle which threw in the towel apparently as the Nissan dealer told me its as he put a" known area of concern with some Navaras "this was as I parted with over 2 grand as it was out of warranty. Maybe I was unlucky but needless to say its gone and was replaced by the ranger. Just wish instead of fetching in RHD Mustangs ford would do a nice F150 diesel in RHD for those nations that drive on the normal side of the road

I need to fit kiddie seat in the back on days off. also handy for carrying the troops when we don't need the van.

thank you, good reply. I think i melted every single engine gasket and was filling with oil every other fuel stop on my last l200 warrior until someone wrote it off for me, I put this down to towing. something to think about.

(..... aye, and **** maintenance)
