I reckon when the suppliers have been this decent about making sure you get your loan saw, and organising the pickup of the recalled one with minimum hassle to the user, it's the least we can do to make sure that it's boxed up ready for collection on time.

Gr8 words indeed Joe :001_rolleyes:

I loaned my saw to an arb mate so it wasn't atome to be collected, but they attempted collection today and failed so i'll foot the bill and have it sent back.

Well, for the umpteenth time I contacted All Power Industries (the NZ Echo importer) and asked if they were going to get me the info they promised. Turns out they hadn't even followed up on my request so I went for the refund. A crying shame really but the customer service here is absolutely diabolical. I make that about 6 phone calls, two texts messages, a couple of Facebook messages (their actually landline is hard to find) along with several more the dealer made on my behalf. It's really put me off buying another Echo especially seeing as my Stihl dealer is on the ball every time.

I read the first page and thought oh yea might have to get one, just read the last page now im not so sure!

Can someone please summarise the issues with this saw i dont feel like reading through 69 pages haha

cheers

You can't buy one a sits no longer for sale. Wait for a few months and buy the modified version (2511) when it's launched.
