Tiny echo!

Pretty much official. All Echo 2510s are to be recalled.

If you own one you will get a confirmation from the dealer you bought it off to stop using it. They will then be recalled.

Echo are offering all either:

  • Full refund

OR

  • You get a brand new CS280TES for the next few months free until the 2511TES is available (around Oct/Nov)
  • When the new 2511TES comes out you can either buy your CS280TES for £99-00+vat or just return it - either way you get the 2511TES

Bad news but it strikes me that's a very decent offer from Echo. Fair play to them. :thumbup1:

you know when something really scary happens up a tree, catches you by surprise and a little nugget sneaks out the back door.

One must then jiggles ones knee so that it tumbles down inside the trouser leg and exits smoothly.

(ineffective if wearing spikes)

😂😂😂 😂 😂

Good to see a manufacturer taking positive steps when a problem arises and acting in the interests of the customer rather than the firm.

This is a very honourable way of doing business and I think the the loan/purchase scheme is an excellent offer. I will miss the Tiny but I haven't noticed any problems with overheating though I do blow out the fins and the clutch cover at last parade.

Hats off to Echo for putting their hands-up straight away, I will be ordering a CS 390ESX in the full knowledge that Echo stand by their products and their reputation. Top effort.

I agree, I bought an echo just the other night off Rob; super deal!!!

Sad to hear they are having issues; but also agree that echo have put us first.

I have always bought husky and Stihl; but not a fan of new offerings or deals passed down to my dealers.

Viva la revolution!!

Any idea of the 2511 TES specs?

Hypothetically, Rob, what would happen if one were to continue using the 2510 (accepting the risk of spontaneous incineration) until the 2511 were released?

While we're on hypotheticals, if a person had bought one of these Echos, and removed/lost the spark screen/retaining screw, and trimmed the exhaust cover, would Echo still be happy to take that saw back?
