It`s sad to give up the little saw..i`ve become attached i must admit, pretty much everyone that`seen it seems captivated by it..even my missus managed to hold it out arm straight for 20 secs tells me i must`nt let it go..look forward to the 2511 being even apparently even lighter.

Good point..if it`s a voluntary recall then can we wait till the new one comes out before handing our 2510`s in i wonder?..will see if i can find out tomorrow.

At least it`s a voluntary recall, mind you how could they make it compulsory..and surely they mean debris clogging up around the muffler not the engine as well?..don`t most saws get a bit clogged up unless kept clean? "YAMABIKO Corporation, the manufacturer of ECHO engine driven portable power equipment, announces the voluntary recall of ECHO CS-2510TES and CS-2510TESC chain saws due to the risk of possible extraordinary high muffler temperature caused by insufficient cooling air due to excessive dust and debris clogged up around engine, which may result in melting some plastic components or igniting dry objects such as saw dust behind the muffler. Those who own these products are requested to stop using the equipment and contact the nearest ECHO distributor or dealer."

Does all UK saws come standard with the 1/4 sprocket ?..looks like the Stihl bar and chain is clearly the way to go.. Any body running with the 12" instead of the 10" as illustrated here.. OFFERS | Product Categories | Sugihara Guide Bars Great thread and site!..found myself here after looking for info on this fab little saw:)..
