Huck you are still alive, and you would never admit to being wrong on Arbtalk.

Not at all, I posted pic's of when I smashed my face up didn't I, pretty sure I was wrong that day

Just being honest, I don't recall ever thinking I was going to die, but as I say that could well be due to my lack of perception, not the fact that I have not indeed been close to my end, but just got lucky :001_smile:

I missed that. What happened?

I once had a saw shot out of a bore cut, handle first, into my gentleman sausage. Not life threatening but my dignity never recovered.

That was some seriously good shooting. I've heard of people shooting squirrels right between the eyes but thats a whole new level of accuracy with small targets :congrats:

The Bandit was a flywheel wasn't it?

I may be wrong.

I don't think a rope was involved here, I think his harness snagged on something.

Operator error, glad he made it.

When did you think you were going to die Reg?

Was it at the Arb show when you launched the RC lowering devices?

I thought you looked about ready to end it all after enduring two days of questions from people like me.

Hahaha....after 7 years of trade shows I'm over it now. I just takes sone pills at the start of each day, much less suicidal.

I've had my share of moments. Getting hit by cars, crashing cars, falling out of tRees, trees falling over while I'm up them, bring attached to limb hung up on Hv wires. One very bad moment topping a dead tree over here, and a particular crane job too. They were all over in seconds, but I knew each time how close I was to being a statistic.

Oh yeah, getting caught in riptides. ....plenty time to think about that.

Hahaha!

I've been in a few pickles, but I've always weirdly thought about damage to property rather than myself as it happens.

Saw, wire, shed, fence whatever.

The most dangerous part of your day is driving to and from work, we should all remember that.

I had that, cutting discs off a rotten willow with the 460. On ladders, harness but not strop.

The ladders gave out under me, and I ended up hanging from my saw strop (bar wedged in the cut).

The bar bent 90 degrees, and I new the next thing to go would be the rear handle/fuel tank of the 46. So I cut the strop with my silky. Landed on my arse and ankle, but the saw was fine, minus the bar!

You should be more careful, I thought you were good at this stuff?

Rips are really, really scary. I was dicking about near Sydney one day with five mates in water literally knee deep and we had to get serious and sensible to get out.

We had beers with the lifeguards after the beach closed (who'd seen us) and some of the stories were pretty tragic.
