Meetings with remarkable trees, the Arbtalk version

The Rhandirmwyn Oak estimated to be approximately 600-700 years old.
Quite remarkable to see a tree of this calibre in a hedgerow, right on the side of a road.

Well off the beaten track, near Llandovery Wales.
Taking a detour was well worth it.

We have this one locally that  is not quite so spectacular but  just sits on a verge minding its own business with no protection.

I know that tree, this is where i go mountain biking, The Royal Oak and Towy Inn are both just up the road[emoji6]
