Superb harmony .

My mate's the one on the right, she plays violin for them too. They're a mint band. Very Northumbrian.

So not Rachel or Beckie but a lass who is not an Unthank .  Yes she plays a sympathetic fiddle . It must be very nice to be in and amongst such accomplished musical artists  . Since I posted originally I have acquired several more of their CDs   I am from West Sussex ( so according to me I don't have an accent 🙂, but of course I must have ) but I just love the incredibly accurate pronunciation ( in a singing sort of way ) that that lass can put over . It is so precise and clear . I just love it .

I'm not so keen on her pronunciation of  "lover" in the song mount the air. I have the cd in my car and it jars with me. I think the violin player changed her name from Mary to something more Irish from  a bit of voice slipped in commemorating her dad.

Fiddle player is Niopha Keegan, Irish originally, spent many years in St Alban's before venturing North.

Still a favourite of mine just now is this offering from my workmate's daughter starting a budding career as a singer songwriter.

And her latest one.

CDs - might as well be stone age tech, I know. I've got too many to just throw away though, so why not buy a few more?
