Heard some really sad news today. Neil Peart, drummer and the main songwriter with Rush has died. Had the pleasure of seeing them on tour in 2008. RIP Neil and thanks for many wonderful experiences listening to one of my favourite bands.

Yeah I was gutted to hear this. I grew up playing drums and studying Pearts style amongst many others. Such a legend!

Been listening to Inhaler a lot lately and going to see them in Newcastle soon,  no denying the lead singers lineage but still a good sound.

Yup, big shame, been listening to Rush since the mid 70s, some weird lyrics that somehow resonate with life in general but a very distinctive sound. I am getting a bit fed up with seeing some of my childhood stars shedding their mortal coil, especially at an early age.

Anyway, here is a very apt Rush song.....enjoy
