i was excited for the first few shows, Then really really bored of the "he's felling a tree, if it goes wrong it will kill him" over hyped nonesense that they go on about, They should spend far more time detailing the machinery than they do imo, would make for a much better show but i guess joe public thrive on yokel lumberjacks cutting down big trees.

 

Agreed, also the constant previewing of what was coming up so that when it actually arrived you felt like you'd already seen it a dozen times. Also, the jumping from one crew to the other every 30 seconds (or so it felt), meaning any narrative thread was lost. It could have been so much better, but like you say, the public wouldn't wear it.

Are they still going to include Pihl, who was arrested after he rolled the jeep recently, with children not secured with belts?

I love the show, it's totally hyped and hammed up and this just adds comedy value in my opinion. It would be hillarious if everywhere we went just doing our job as we do on a daily basis we had that ridiculous running commentary and tension building music in the background. Plus you do get to see a bit of tree work on mainstream tv which can't be a bad thing.

Yes the skipper of the barge was a bit excitable wasn't he. Did you notice he was so wound up about hitting the bridge he didn't think to slow down before he hit it!
