I have been offered an entec chipper, the 6inch, for £1000. Its a 1999, done 1600 genuime hours, but it needs work. It needs a new flywheel bearing, new blades, and from the looks of it, cpuld do with a paint up, some panels straightening, new mudguards. I think from what he said, the engine is sound, but needs a service and possibly a new battery, and some new leakoff pipe.

I used it last when I hired it off him about 3 years ago, and for the last two years its sat gathering dust in a barn

just wondering if its worth doing up, and if I tackle it myself, or give it to a specialist.

any thoughts?

Offer him £500 or just leave it....god knows what else could be wrong with it....worth a punt for £500.. But definitely no more.just my opinion before this thread go's of track.
