Exactly. We've gone for a restricted o license route.

It's a special tool but it's not agricultural use I'm using it for. Mainly highways work which does cover it to use red as we're doing horticultural works too. But it will still be run on white.

It's a bit like if you have s tractor or tele handler. There's an explanation that states if it not agricultural, highways or construction sites. They should be ran on white. Last week a farmer got done for hauling a trailer load of firewood down the road on red. Vosa are heavily patrolling our area and dipping all commercial vehicles tanks recently.

We're on white as well and it's a good thing too! We got dipped by vosa and hmrc. As soon as they saw we were running on white we were on our way 🙂

Sounds like they are having a national clampdown. Just thought it was in Norfolk.

End of financial year so trying to make a bit extra profit and a running on red conviction is quick easy and takes little further investigation with a decent fine!

out of curiosity Ian, how is it going to be painted?

Lash some red oxide on then a top coat?

Yeah pretty much. The whole side will be covered with a sign board anyway so it doesn't need to be a top notch spray job.
