£488 inc vat on fr jones site

£520 inc vat for a xpg not bad prices!

I'm running an 8 pin on the 13" , not sure the auto tune likes it though, I probably use this saw the least but have a few weeks of thinning work coming up so will be its first time properly in the woods working with it to draw any conclusions, There was something I read on arbor site about keeping them on a 7 if changing to 3/8.

Excessive vibration caused by over revving is the normal cause of the crankcase cracking around the flywheel, if that is all it needs it is well worth rebuilding, 357 machines are fetching good money, there will be plenty of used crankcases around, just need a gasket set and a pair of seals.

humm used and abused for 4 years so i suppose it might have been over reved, running a 3/8 chain on an 8 tooth rim probably didnt help it either.what would a new crankcase cost?wouldnt want a chinese copy ,but a good secondhand one might be the answer.if the repair is costing more than 300 better off scrapping it and buying a 550.or send it to spud and rebuild port and have a new racing machine...still need casing though
