Drying out quickly today Jon. Just been out with the chrome to drag out the debris washed down the brook. Amazing how the weed and twigs can reduce the flow.

 

Brook is back down by at least 4ft and the river by a good 10 -12 ft.

Both are draining water away at a pace. Fingers crossed for the next few days, at least until the landscape suppliers all open on Monday.

Still draining Jon. Every time it dries out, it rains again. No flood at the moment. Next week will be busy building up the defences after work.

Don't forget to change the sewerage to a valve system or the water will come up through the drains if it is higher outside than in.

Few more trees need planting,some farmers are keeping their land bare for shooting and the like but with more cover it would slow the water off the hills.
