It is certainly not a fine its an invoice, simple way round it if Aldi wont sort it out is send the parking company an invoice for your time contesting their invoice and see what happens. They must have a record of what time you entered car park and you have evidence what time was on your receipt and ask the car park company to prove you went elswhere

I filled two trolleys and stocked up for the next couple of months and Christmas. I spent £211.00 did I get loyalty points no I got a parking ticket for £70.

You can only park for an hour and a half and I was there for one hour 39 minutes.

Waste of time on there part as I only pay parking tickets from council car parks not private sharks.

Only the local authority can legally impose parking fines, have a look on consumer action group website and there's a letter template you can send them explaining the finer points to whoever has sent you the ticket :)

There's a lot of people posting in this thread talking a lot of b*ll*cks.

Yes, Private Parking Companies can't issue 'fines'.

However, they can issue 'penalties' for contravening the terms of parking or for trespass.

They can, and often do, pursue these to court if you ignore them.

My advice is never to ignore a private parking notice.

Further advice is to visit a site such as "Pepipoo" ( FightBack Forums )where you will get some good information rather than that codswallop posted by some in this thread.

Another titbit.

Aldi will always ensure that a private parking notice is cancelled if you provide them with a copy of your shopping receipt, or credit card or bank statement.

Trust me. I have had 4 tickets recently for (senior moments) inputting the wrong registration number into their system.

This is who to contact for results : - [email protected]

Definitely never ignore a parking charge.
