Interesting story Eggs,

I thought they fished the river severn near the esturay at certain times of the year but probably all finished now.

Pretty sure eels are a protected species, don't know if it's due to overfishing but they're pretty rare in the rivers now.

Time will tell how long they stay in the game.

They a stacked out with work, they repair and service watches for the 2 jewellers in town, clocks etc. There are people always dropping clocks round, they red furnish and sell grandfather clocks too. It is a dying trade but they are busy.

My mate Terry just up the road is keeping the smiffery game alive this end eggs, he seems to find enough people prepared to spend north of £150K for one pair of gates :wtf:

Not much welding with his stuff:thumbup1:

I've probably seen some of your mates work. I do some work on Sheik Mohammed's (Godolphins) yards in Newmarket.

£150k on a pair of gates at his stables wouldn't surprise me in the least.
