Black finger nails are pretty insignificant a lack of fingers or hand Deffinatly is, with employees of any sort if there is a safer way to do things then it's best to do it!

BTDTGTTS, you soon learn to grip with just the palm, and a gloved hand.

 

It's not the immediate pain but the problem of constantly snagging the nail as it begins to separate and fall off.

I'm about to use our new petrol cradle saw bench this morning, any more safety tips would be very welcome.

The only time my Balfor spits a log out at me is if I rush and shove cradle in to fast , use your left hand to move long along and right hand on handle on cradle.

On the last cut is the one to watch , take your time.

The gripping handle we offer eliminates this risk, though I find like Ste said, if you take your time and make sure your fingers are all on top of the log (not wrapped round it) then you really do minimise the chances.

On my style saw u shouldn't be able to get a black nail, one hand one the cradle release one hand on the log holder. All digits out the way
