I 've heard others say that when using the cradle type saws they have experienced black finger nails from log kick backs

 

Black finger nails are pretty insignificant a lack of fingers or hand Deffinatly is, with employees of any sort if there is a safer way to do things then it's best to do it!

BTDTGTTS, you soon learn to grip with just the palm, and a gloved hand.

 

It's not the immediate pain but the problem of constantly snagging the nail as it begins to separate and fall off.

The gripping handle we offer eliminates this risk, though I find like Ste said, if you take your time and make sure your fingers are all on top of the log (not wrapped round it) then you really do minimise the chances.
