Rigging rings rope size

Seen some rigging rings on treekit, question is what size rope do i need for the rings? i was planning to attach them with a fishermans, i know this is not the strongest but will only be used for light rigging/ redirects.

you mean x rings? I reckon they would pop out with a fishermans

Yeah same as, just different brand on tree kit i think, my friend has some attached with fishermans and have being fine, they wont be hammered.

i think most people splice them on with tenex hollow braid rope, well thats what iam going to do when i get round to it.

This is how I'm using a rigging ring.

Using strong rubber bands to hold it on my dead eye sling.

Just splice them , locking brummels are super easy.

The rope will break before the ring so just choose the appropriate diameter for the application

Looks a bit more challenging if you want to splice a ring into each end though!

Just do a non locking brummel with a large bury and lockstitch.

to be fair i think your limiting yourself with a non adjustable rig and ring though

 

I spliced up a ring on a bit of icetail to use as an adjustable rig nd ring cambium saver on any of my x ring redirects , multiuse , adjustable and retrievable.

You can do a locking brummel at both ends it's just a little trickier to do, watch this and it'll show you,
