I think Mick is talking about something else when he mentions 'weirdness' and 'money' in the same sentence.

That's a bit rich Stuart after your antics. See my comment on the thread about the lad wanting info about moving to France. Pot kettle black methinks.

This is what was said to try to shame Mr Lee. I still bear the mental scars.

"Watch out Jayv39 when Stuart offers to help you out. He did the same for me a while ago. I ended up in a caravan wearing leather shorts and having to be "nice and friendly" to his customers and friends. I manages to escape leaving the shorts for the next poor sod he "helps". "

Every time this topic comes up it reminds me I want to start up a dedicated stump grinding business, it's just whether the work is out there! In my area, there's lots of big firms with all the grinding toys!!

Great news that it has worked out for you, I remember your post on looking into stump grinding well .

I advertise Stump grinding on my Van and get a lot of inquiries But they soon dwindle down to a handful when i give them a quote so I don't push it these days and I wait till I get half dozen and hire a machine to spread the cost now .

The quotes in the beginning was way to low, now i have learned what the real cost is, and how much to put aside to save up to next adventure. I work very hard now to pay this machine off, I have a Dream !! A new model UniMog with front monted Chipper, a Big Trailer with a strong crane, a farm house with sheds, store logs, sell logs, cut timber to fence posts, and fence, do some fencing, well that's what i want it to grow in to.

I think that's what most of us dream of. I do apart from the fencing bit. Would love a unimog the more shinny toys the better.
