Britain Hating Ideology

I'm not sure what world some people live in but it sure isn't the real one.

Yes everyone should work, live within their means and only buy a dog or have children when they can support them but, you do realise that in real life things can change very quickly?

A partner can up and leave, become ill or injured (not enough to claim disability although that isn't much of a savior) or just die. What happens to the rest of the family then, should they just work that bit harder?

What about all the jobs out there that will only ever pay minimum wage and may not allow even a 30-40 hour week. Whoever does those won't ever have much money.

There's nothing wrong with being able to earn yourself a good few million pounds a year if you can but why must people at the other end of the spectrum be content with very little and work themselves into the ground for it.

On the part of your post about wage difference,I agree that it needs sorting out when hard work does not deliver a living wage, yet some get way too much, this is often industry based, take a look at banking for example, the greedy beggars have our money as capital, yet charge us for it, and get bailed out by us when they get greedy and invest our money in high risk areas, then loose it.:001_rolleyes:

Re China....its much easier to change someones ways by getting to know them than isolating them, little change is better than no change

It's a nice soundbite; is that what we're doing in Syria then with Assad or IS? How about persuading that nice Mr Putin to comply with the international treaty (apparently that the UK is a signature to) guaranteeing Ukraine's soverignty over Crimea? Should we get to know him and then he will withdraw from Ukraine? Good to see our friendly words in Saudi Arabia are having such a powerful influence......not! And of course Mr Mugabe just loves what we have to say to him!

Let's get real; China is a large country with a fifth of the human race. It has real power. It has a language (and probably lots of languages) and a script that the majority of us wouldn't know where to start with so "getting to know them" has some challenges (unless of course they come to British Universities and learn English). I read in the newspaper that whilst the Chinese President was being shown around the new Manchester Graphene Centre China registered about 1,000+ more graphene patents last year than we did in the UK. The Chinese couldn't really give a stuff about what our friendly words might say.

The UK is in a highly competitive situation with an element of being a spent force but with quite a lot up our sleeve. We've managed to keep the pound afloat by selling just about everything we have to foreigners. We've handed quite a few powers to Brussels and Strasbourg so our politicians find their hands tied in many ways. I just wonder what will happen when we have nothing left to sell and speculative property owners (e.g.China) decide there is a better place to rest their money. The steel industry situation is just an indicator of what is to come in other industries if we fail to cow-tow to them. e.g. We want to tax the finance industry so they make noises about going elsewhere.....so we can't. I feel really sorry for people dependent on tax credits and I don't see any English politicians providing the leadership required. As for the Salmond Sturgeon effect I just wonder what would happen if the door they are pushing against opened and they had to implement what they are saying with oil prices so low.

The reality is that politicians have to spin these unbelievable yarns in an attempt to keep us, the voters on board. Sickening!

If I want a dog and I can't afford to feed it, have too many work commitments to walk it and can't afford to pay someone else to do so - I don't get a dog. Simple.

Why does everyone believe it's a right to have children they can't afford and then expect the state to pay for them?

Well said Garry.

Was going to post something similar. Still will be hard for those that have got used to a government handout to suddenly have them taken away.

Let's not communicate then and hope that a perfect world materialises

Does anyone else really think that Britain's future economic success relies on importing migrants to sell the Big Issue?

If people are going to complain about benefits being cut we should all admit that mass migration is one of the reasons that the Government is cutting benefits....

Money given to migrants is money that can't be given to Brits....

The population is aging.. that aging population needs workers to pay em their pensions..

Hence immigration is encouraged, no matter what any politician might say..
