New truck

I take my Landy to my local main dealer as they are more reliable than the other landrover specialists in my are, that's because they give me a landrover to use while mine is in getting fixed and they get me in straight away. It's had a new gearbox and transfer box, it's had cam shaft oil seals done recently, head gasket and other bits. I just think that if I can split the work load between the Landy and another vehicle it will ease up on the wear and tear a bit.

FWIW my mate went from a double cab 130 tipper to a dyna and hasn't looked back.

Except the handling of an empty dyna on icy roads! He's looking at buying a second.

The 3.0L diesel version and low gearing is quite pokey as i remember (from a past firm) and turning circle amazing, especially compared to a 130!

thats pretty much any other vehicle on the road isnt it!!!:001_tt2:

This morning the landed steering went funny, I called up my dealer and they said take it straight in, I did and it was a swiped UK joint on the steering, they gave me a landrover 90 and will fix mine ASAP. That's why I take it to my main dealer. So another £150 quid. I had a look at an Isuzu d max tipper today, online not in the flesh so that's another line of thought to ponder.

Just signed for an Iveco 7.5t on a 4 year lease.

Far more tax efficient here than a bank loan.

We've gone for a diff-lock (careful with that, not to use it 'on road')

Faux leather seats, blue tooth and air-con because it's the 2 partners who are driving it principly and we like our little comforts.

The tipper body is made locally and has high alu sides that fold down to allow side loading.

Between the tipping body and the single cab is a large locker with a basket on top for hand tools/fuel etc.

We should be good for 3.6t (against the 700kg of the 3.5t we run)

3.6t = around 7-9m3 of chip

This should cut down the time spent tipping!
