Bramble clearance

Just been asked to give a quote on a clearance job. Bit of tree work but a lot of bramble bashing first. Just wondering where the best place hire an avant or something similar with a mulching head on. I'm near Worcester way. Any ideas?

If you cant find an avant, we have used a 4x4 rabbit mower with diff lock on various jobs and is incredible, same size as your average ride on lawn mower but obliterates gorse, brambles, buddleja etc pretty much anything that you drive over it with... and its fun!

No it's a domestic customer on a small holding. Need to ring round for some prices, thinking perhaps just a walk behind flail mower to keep costs down

If its just brambles McConnell rino 6 or 5 foot on a small tractor.

Could try a baroness 1560. We used to use one on highways. Firm in melksham hires them. Roy francis plant. Never hired from them though

depends on site size but i do a serious amount of strimming/brush cutting yearly and really rate the stihl fs480 with either jet cut head and 4mm line or a blade.

 

may take a day or three but its methodical and leaves a presentable result.

 

current area i am on is 2 days solid and maybe an hr or two tommorow, 8 more areas to go then done for year so maybe 2 weeks yet on strimmer.

I reckon it'll be 2/3 days for two of us on a strimmer. There's quite a few trees that are to be retained with nice low crowns, so I'm thinking it may have to be grin and bear it.
