Yep

and as it says in or over the highway

so you could be dismantling over a pathway but mewp/crane parked up in the customers drive still needs permit

Maybe it's your local council thing? I have planned in large utility jobs Road open notice full tm and mewps in the road? Never heard of that before but thanks for heads up ilmkeep.an eye out for it.

So every time a builders merchant offloads stuff off his lorry from the highway they should apply for a licence then......??? Its using a crane from a highway. I'm pretty sure they don't need to apply, nothing would get done!!

may be a time scale thing ,unloading a truck full of builders stuff 30mins , doing a terees 4hrs , ???

Surely if its a cabstar mounted mewp, and its road legal, and not parked on yellow lines, there is no issue?

ignore. What are they going to do?

suggest he go fill in some potholes. Far more valuable use of his time
