We have had many different stoves over the years, Woodward, hunter, Morso (the legendary squirrel) but without doubt the Clearview Vision 500 top trumped them all in terms of efficiency and the glass staying clean, fantastically controllable too. They are expensive but in my mind worth the extra dosh. Cdo

Please check the Burley range . They are kinda the new kid on the block but punch above their weight . Simple to control . Just one air slide and the door . Double glased door glass and super efficiency . I have no connection with the company other than I have one of their stoves .

We have a clearview vision for 20 years now,and with the aid of a heat recovery system it has been keeping a 4 bedroom bungalow cosy.I paid about £600 for it and I sure if it went on ebay today I would get our money back.It still looks good and runs well and all we burn is softwood.

I've just bought a clear view pioneer 400 for a customer they insisted even though I could get any other stove at a far better price, however clear view don't seem to give any discounts!

That's the thing with second hand Clearviews Kev, they do seem to hold their value well. Several Vision 500's have been going on Ebay recently for £800 and upwards.

Hi Jon, all the words above make sense individually, but string them together and I am having problems.

Are you saying that all fires need parts changed every so often? or was the cizzer getting involved in the post :-)

I sold my 12 year old Vision 500 for £800, fully reconditioned and oddly that needed a new baffle and bricks too. It had never been overheated and only burnt seasoned wood. Great stoves!
