Not sure when it's booked in for, I'm just exploring avenues to make the job go efficiently. Save me ringing up 60" discs to split and handball to the vans to take to a yard with not enough space for all that timber.

 

The tree has armillaria I think.

 

 

Yea I understand u don't wanna be fannying around, a lot of work on the body that's would be...be a nice job lad.

I don't care what happens to the timber. It'll go whichever way is the most cost effective.

 

I've never understood why a tree "should" be milled.

 

it's my opinion that something of great size or age should go to be something other than firewood.

 

i know it's a dream but if there is space then you get more money from a tree through milling than if you just sell it for firewood. yes it's a bigger outlay of money initially but if you do it all the time you get a greater return.

We don't do firewood or milling. Timber is a waste product for us which gets sold on.

 

By all means make me an offer for it.
