Life span of Meindel Airstreams

I normally get 12 months out of any boot before I wear the soles out but I'm pretty much permanently on the deck these days. My air streams are on there way to Meindl at the mo for resoling but the uppers are in good nick.

Get some Pfanner Air tirrols! im on year 3 and they still look nearly as good as new. Proper tough boots

My current pair are 8-9 months old and leaking badly soles are falling off. Very disappointed in them 👎

Soles always get knackered first if you take any care of the leather. Pfanner Tirol Fighter look like the only ones mentioned that have replaceable soles, essential if you want them to last more than a couple of years IMO. They look well stuff and heavy though.

I got them to do my Meindl walking boots and they came back looking brand new...it does quite a bit to resole so you have to be sure you'll get another year probably out of the rest of the boot.

 

I have the Meindl WoodWalker boot and they have done so much work its ridiculous and they don't owe me a penny....looking to replace them now, not sure whether to go the same or go for Airstreams....

You can send them to Meindl and they can change the complete sole, the Rand which is the big red bit and the eyelets. They can also do the inner too. If you have had them for 18 months and worn them everyday then you have had value for money mate, £10 a month. I'd just get a new pair mate.

£10 a month is good value for something so important as a work boot. They are a quality boot there is doubt about it.you just have to see how many feet have them on.

£85 I think. well worth it imo, I think the uppers will easily outlast the sole again.
