A 1000 customers and no processor??

There's load of bollcks with logs

That's what I thought?!

When I went round to have a chat, I had a look round and he just had a saw bench/splitter set up.

He also doesn't advertise anywhere apart from "Logs" on the back of his truck.

I found it hard work supplying 20/30 regular clients last couple of years let alone 1000.

I wouldnt worry just carry on. I had some joker ring up last week ringing abouy prices etc, it felt like and you could tell it was someone in the log game, hillarious the lengths some will go to

Sad more like Swinny. Total plonkers.

we get quite a few each season phoning to check prices pretending to be potential customers when they clearly aren't, they could just look on the website or say who they are couldn't care less if someone wants to know what we charge but I'd rather they just said who they were never understood the desire for secrecy and deceit over something we spend a fortune advertising for all to see.

My local firewood man gave me a ring the other day to come round for a "chat"

I went round more out of curiosity more than anything, he then proceeded to tell me it was his patch, none of his 1000 clients would come across to me, how he'd been doing it for 30 years and so forth.

To top it off then said It would be better for me to sell my wood all to him for £40 a cube seasoned &

Processed and for me to not even bother?!

As I currently hold off making a quick buck as I'm not in a rush and charge £120 a cube it's taking the piss slightly right?

This guy has a bit of reputation about him anyway so I'm steering clear of dealing with him.

What's everyone else relationships like with their close competitors?

Should I expect more of same from people protecting there patch?

Hi mate take no notice what he said just keep doing what you have to do I no what mean we had same sort think take no notice just carry on and do your own thing thanks Jon
