I would say blame the dealer rather than an entire company!

Having a word with the dealer or stihl might help things.

Hi MESTERH AND WOOD Your right there it dealer I think BUT WHAT DO I NO 😁😁😁thanks Jon

Had my Husky delivered by R&T. The driver explained a few bits to my girlfriend (who immediately forgot it all). It had been run, full tank offer and a full tank of chain oil! Very impressed, so I'll keep going back.

Which I agree with, until local dealers take the piss. I can buy Aspen for around £18/5l, my local dealer wants just short of £25 for the same 5l container.

Ha, heaven forbid someone should charge more!

Are you always the cheapest when you quote for a job so you don't take the piss out of your customer?

I bet loads of people have called me a thief because I won't cut their tree down for the lowest price.:laugh1:

Big believer in PDI here, but not all dealers do it properly...

I took my friend's lad to pick up a MS181 and the shop (Belmont, Sth Normanton) went through the start procedure and showed him how to tension the chain and where to put fuel and bar oil. Unfortunately no one showed his dad who filed the fuel tank with bar oil first time he used it.

You can never have too much lubrication, as my old P.E. Teacher used to say.:thumbup1:

I've bought stihl from a few dealers and I think every time have just been handed a box. I understand the Stihl Policy is more about limiting the competition between dealers (geographical linitations). Personally I think the policy is a nuisance and it does encourage me to go with other brands.
