Do they cover the spanners with individual moving parts ? I have heard of people being refused replacements for ratchet parts out of warranty.

moving parts are not covered by Halfords and the ratchets do fail, as do the boxes the sets come with and frustratingly the boxes change from time to time, however at the discounted rate offered not a bad package

halfords professional are great my old man has a set and raves about them. I have got the snap on witch i would say are better but you pay for it .

You pay for it but do you pay too much? I have a BOC mig welder made by cebora, you can buy the exact machine with a snap in badge for three times the price. OK so it has a good warranty but three times the price???

Its entirely personal but Facom gets my vote for the best balance of quality and price

In my opinion Snap on are too shiny and easily dropped when dirty, plus 'borrowed' on a permanent basis too, so ebay items may well be in a similar situation.....Facom are good, Stahlwille too. I have no personal experience with Halfords but they seem to have a good rating. Hazet are another and I have a feeling that they may be made by Stahlwille....

There's no substitute for quality tools in the long run.
