We are in the Rethimnon prefecture. But a good 15km's inland. Epic driving, epic countryside, fascinating place if can get about. Or a holiday in the sun if you cannot.....

Is there any way you can just ship your luggage back by common carrier?, or is that just as bad price wise?. I hope you have a nice holiday otherwise.

Myself, Caz and four kids flew to Crete. I booked it all online but, it transpires, neglected to book the baggage allowance as I thought each passenger had an entitlement. How wrong was I.....

Paid over £330 at EMA for four standard sized cases and one small....now got to do the same for the trip back! Furthermore, one case was cheaper on the way out as the passenger is a child and I looks twenty quid a head cheap on the way back!!!!!

I shall not be using them again.

But, please be warned, beware of these robbing bastards.

They were going to introduce a £1 charge to use the toilet a few years ago but dropped it. The attractive initial costs of these flights are just a Sprat to catch a Mackerel.

I had thought of "condensing" and getting approved hand baggage to walk on with but you know what women are like! I'd chuck old clothes, walking boots etc. But one cannot chuck hair and face products, this years wardrobe etc......

I fly with Ryanair about 12 times per year. No complaints................because I pay bugger all, and I expect bugger all.

Airlines are like any other industry (including this one)........good customer service does not come for free.

Agreed, I can fly back to the UK for less money than the tolls on the autoroute back to dieppe, let alone the ferry, fuel, etc. that's with Easyjet mind but the principles the same.
