I did it from '82 thro to '99 before going to GreenMech. Uncle Dave did it from late '40s thro to '87 and his Dad from before WW1 upto the late '60s whilst running the village post office. His Uncles taught him the game too!

left merrist wood in 96 to climb trees but been a brush rat and helping out in the yard since i was about 10 before that working with my father at weekends and holidays........strangely i told the careers adviser my ambition was to be a new age traveller and live in a bus and go raving with spiral tribe or exodus, never a tree surgeon dont quite know where it all went wrong!

Nice one- i did it the otherway round- had a bus and a PA and set of 1210's and kicked free parties after i left school then got into working properly.........The 90's were ace.

went to askham bryan after a levels for two years of an hnd in hort with a specialisation in arb, left there to go do an nc in arb at houghall college in durham then worked at a posh hotel in the grounds and as general dogsbody for the next two and half years before spending six months in essex in 2002 as a junior gardener on an estate, six months on the dole so i decided to set up my own business so been going six years now doing gardening and tree work. Always loved trees and the outdoors though due to all the men on my mums side of the family being gardeners or woodsmen of some description going back to the 1800's.

I was sentenced in 82 for a 6 month stretch. One thing led to another and now I'm doing life with no sign of parole on the horizon.

 

mic and i were sentenced in the same year but at that time i did it as a keen volenteer in 84 i started as a pro

 

and still like what i do
