Hi, Jamie,

I have looked at trying to find a grease nipple that will fit into the thread on the trimmer gearbox, but haven't found any that fit yet, nor have I seen anyone else do it.

I think it would need to be drilled and tapped to the correct spec.

Matt

There used to be adaptors on ebay but there don't appear to be any on there now. Should be relatively easy to make one from a spare greasing cap screw.

You can just push the grease gun against the filler and it will seal enough to fill the gearbox cavity.

We just use chain oil on ours, had no issues with this.

Me too - when I'm at home. But miles from home on a hot day when I've just finished a Leyland hedge it's good to get something on the blades to soften and disperse the gunk.

Gunk - that's the stuff to use; cleans everything!:blushing:

WD 40 is mostly fish oil with the addition of some man made chemicals .

Myth - there is no "fish oil" in WD40 it is mostly kerosene and lube oil.

Please provide evidence to support this . Only joking

The truth is that none of us will ever know the secret of WD40

Fact is it doesn't taste as good as WKD

Well spotted!!

Our last order which arrived from Anglo American last week was branded as Agea.

We phoned Anglo to ask why. They said they had rebranded, but no reasons given.

Definitely not counterfeit!!!

The old, and the new. (note they are both from Anglo American):001_smile:
