I have spoke to 2 different dealers today 1 who said basically a front loader on an alpine wont lift much and could potentially damage the machine due to the way it pivots in the centre, and the other who said they lift a good amount and had never seen a problem using front loaders? can somebody give me some clarification?

Which dealers were they? I asked Riko about a loaded on an Alpine and they definitely weren't keen on the idea.

Kilworth do bcs alpines no problem with loaders , and a lot of older holder tractors had loaders fitted for Apple boxes in orchards etc.

I've asked about getting a loader on a pivot steer. They're not too keen due to the reduced stability of the two halves of the machine can move independently. Lots of alpines out there with loaders on.

I came across this when I was researching buying my alpine:

Help!!! I broke my tractor in half!!! - Tractor Forum

Also heard rumours of this happening to someone local to me. Imagine it must be a fairly rare occurrence though.

My holder is a pivot steer with a loader orchard growers need pivot steer to get up and down corresponding rows (we use ours for swiping between tree rows)
