Off road tyres

Hi all

I have just bought a Toyota hilux and need to put on some decent tyres for off road use. Any suggestions

It's on 17inch wheels now

Cooper st maxx are brilliant too, both on and off road.

X2 for Cooper STT - I've had 265 17s on a Navara and they've been great. BFG Muds are also very good.

The quieter the better! Hankook MTs have done me proud but drain you on tarmac; they are LOUD!

Bet they're not half as loud as Insa Turbo Dakars - 17" on Navara and remove ear wax above 30mph, drop 5mpg and don't seem to be wearing great but....Goodyear not available in Navara size and these were £340 inc.VAT delivered.

 

Same as any tyre, incredible grip on grass/solid ground but once the treads are full of mud you might as well be on slicks....

If its off road only , I put a set of grizzlies on my sj413 and I could go places l/rovers couldn't. Traction is everything off road.
