I've had prostate type symptoms for years now. I've had 2 PSA tests over the last 6 years. One only last week. Both were normal so was THE examination, and blood tests. Feel relieved now. If anyone out there has symptoms, go and see your doctor. its not just an old man's illness.

Good to hear you are on the mend

its not just an old man's illness.

This is very true, I thought there were talks about men having a regular test, like women do for breast and cervical cancer, probably got put on the shelf with all the latest cuts.

I have no idea how the GP new ,my PSA was around 3.2 and he said he should do a check and said it didn't feel right .I have a lot to be grateful for

I'm 64 by the way so 3,2 is nowhere near bad

Glad to hear it has been sorted.

Speaking from personal experience, the examination isn't a lot of fun (I had it done when I was 35 as I got a prostate infection and they wanted to check it was nothing worse) but pretty quick and well worth doing if there are any reasons for concern.
