Thesa type of people only understand one thing there's no reasoning with them you will usually find as soon as they realise your no mug they will disappear. It's all very easy to say id do this or that.

If it were my own job I would of at least told him what I thought, but when I'm subbying I'm representing that company so can't really do anything!

A difficult situation under those circumstances, perhaps just laugh, say you're tendering to the council and suggest he sends in a CV to see if he can challenge for the tender.

 

At the very least I'd want to laugh in his face.
