I have never seen it and weird that it's in two places on the chain surely?

So are you saying you have two same sided teeth together in two places on the chain then?

I recently binned a 20" Stihl chain with a pair of left teeth and a pair of right teeth so it's not a unique situation.

The only reason for this is if you have an odd drive link count, however there should not be two sets going the same way

Could ok course have been two role ends left over that have been joined to make a loop up instead of wasting them, done it myself by accident when making 3/8milling chain up for the long bar on the 088

I would not worrie about it . It will cut just the same . It is normal on some chains . I have whole cutters missing when chain gets to the end of its life . Sharp as a razor but one or two cutters have knocked off . Still works fine . Sorta skip chain but not all the way round !

 

Do you grind the rakers down on these Stubby or just leave them? I've always just left the rakers in place, but often wondered if it'd be worth grinding them off?

There's a pair of lefts and opposite them is a pair of rights together. Looks really weird but guess I won't know until I try and cut with it.

This should not be.

This chain has been made from bits. That is acceptable practice, but it should be done with a bit more care.

But as others have said, it will work fine.

I gave it a quick sharpen up just need to get in the woods with it now. So it's a bits a chain made with leftovers. Should have spent a little more and gone for a stihl chain
