I would have thought grinder teeth would have a fair scrap value?

Are the teeth not made from tungsten carbide?

If they are they have a scrap value of £8 a kg.

Majority of the material is carbon steel

I never sharpen stump grinding teeth, just put them in a box, when the box is full I get the gas axe out and separate the tungsten from the steel and weigh it all in separately.

Well you're missing a trick then as you can sell once used teeth on Ebay for about half of what you paid new which is a LOT more than scrap value!

The Greenteeth You use can be sharpened by putting them into a rotating pillar drill and lowering them onto a green bench grinder wheel which retains the concave cutting surface.
