Only mine when I hire it in for the day................... I can't work out how the numbers would ever add up to buy one, unless it's in daily use

You hire it out to others and let them pay for it, I think mine was £600+ a month after paying Vat up front, two hires a month and it's paid for, you have free use of it.

 

With mine I hired it at £350 per day + fuel for distance hire, with operator, because the 18m machine is a very complex machine to setup, for that they are getting someone who does all the rigging and cutting while they stay on the ground.......unless its conifer then I'll set it up and they can operate it:001_smile:

 

With no Arbtalk then I used to get at least two hires with it and work passed onto me that other tree surgeons couldn't do. With arbtalk I'm sure you could make a new machine pay with hire from local tree surgeons
