UK has only just finished paying of it's wartime debit.

Hmm, so we haven't colonised / been immigrants to other countries for hundreds of years? We went to those countries for our own benefit, and took what we wanted, same old same old

Mull29 I couldn't tell you what Scotland owes. We know how much Scotland would be short "in income terms" but thats not the same thing as anyone's share of the national debt. breffni, there's been a bit of an oil crisis and an almost halving of the price in the last few months or so..

we give £12billion a year in foreign aid... we are net contributors to the EU by £12billion.... that £400 for each man/ woman and child in the UK.

 

Plus immigration take billions in benefits and healthcare...
